TimeOut With Heroes is an event that seek to foster entrepreneurial initiatives and activities and create a platform for the graduates and graduating students to acquire knowledge about how to sync what they studied at school with their expertise/skills to land them the perfect job. AFRICAN UNION DAY

African Day (formerly African Freedom Day and African Liberation Day) is the annual commemoration of the foundation of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) (now known as the African Union) on May 25, 1963. It is celebrated in various countries on the African continent, as well as around the world. The First Congress of Independent African States was held in Accra, Ghana on 15 April 1958. It was convened by Prime Minister of Ghana Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and comprised representatives from Egypt (then a constituent part of the United Arab Republic), Ethiopia, Ghana, Liberia, Libya, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia and the Union of the Peoples of Cameroon. The Union of South Africa was not invited. The idea of slavery or slave trade was not foreign to Africa before their contact with the Europeans.There is evidence that Africans were involved in the slave trade through the trans-Saharan and ocean slave trade . The trans-Atlantic  slave emerged as a result of the Portuguese contact with west African especially in Africa in the  15thcentury. Slavery was not an important component of the trans-Atlantic slave trade in the early 15th century. The main items of the slave between the Portuguese and west Africa were gold,beads,copperbars,clothes,cowries,spices etc.However,the discovery of the Americas by the Spaniards and the subsequent exploitation of Africa interms of mining and agriculture led to a special type of labour which could meet the labour needs of the Europeans.
