This award scheme will not only recognise the positive impact support workers have on the lives of people with disability and their families but also a necessary platform to set an important benchmark for Excellence....

Source: Graphic Business           The Bank of Ghana has approved the proposal by Sahel Sahara and Omni Bank to consolidate their operations into one entity to help meet the new minimum capital requirement of GHS400 million. The approval was communicated to the two banks on August 14, paving the way for the board and management of Sahel Sahara Bank and Omni Bank to announce their merger deal later this month. Sources say the boards of the two banks had been locked in meetings to finalise the plan and allow for actual integration of their respective operations to start. Ghanaians should stand with Hon. Agyapong- Ghanaian based London urged.

A Ghanaian based in London Mr. Ebenezer Adjei-Sarpong has called on Ghanaians to stand with the Member of Parliament of Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong to condemn the sanction by the Washington administration.  According to him, it is sad and very unfortunate that this pre meditated act had to happen, he categorically condemns such wicked action, and that Ghanaians should help condemning the sanction. SOLUTIONS TO THESE IMPENDING ISSUES ARE AS FOLLOWS ; Place bins at vantage points – It has been said that, the last time this was tried, the bins were stolen. Unpatriotic Ghanaians shouldn’t stop us from living well. Police the beaches- Beaches must be policed, cleaned and preserved – Seriously, the idea of fish fattened on poop is not natural or funny. It is not a worthy cultural practice either. It should stop. The sight of adults and children constantly shitting at our coastline is one of the quickest ways of spreading disease and degrading the seabed. Every home must have a toilet facility – In 2019, open defecation should be unacceptable to all Ghanaians. This must be the law. No landlord should be allowed to rent out rooms if they do not have a  toilet facility. There can be a schedule and a plan for existing properties to include toilet facilities for the number of occupants.
