“FIX THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS OR STEP DOWN”– CONCERNED ROAD USERS TO THE UPPER EAST REGIONAL MINISTER The capital town of the Upper East Region, Bolgatanga, roads has been decorated with all kinds of traffic lights but none of them are functioning. This makes users of the road: both drivers and pedestrians feel uncomfortable anytime they are using these major roads in their daily businesses in the town. They believed that the traffic lights are just on the various road points for beautification and not to help pedestrians to minimize road accidents. According to Mr Razak, a spokesperson for Bolgatanga Youth Movement (BYM), they have been complaining about the poor nature of the traffic lights to the Regional Minister and the Municipal Chief Executive, but they have turned a blind eye on it.
